Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all products and services purchased through the Law by Design website, including digital legal templates, downloadable resources, fixed-fee legal services, and consultations.

Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a refund, replacement, or remedy if a product or service has a major failure or does not meet legal standards.
Digital Products & Legal Templates
Due to the instant access and downloadable nature of digital products, we do not offer refunds for change of mind or incorrect purchases. Refunds may be considered if the product is faulty, inaccessible, or materially different from its description.
Fixed-Fee Legal Services
If cancelled before work commences, a partial or full refund may be issued. Once work has commenced or services are completed, refunds are generally not available except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
Consultations
Missed or cancelled consultations with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable. Completed sessions are non-refundable.
Bundles & Discounted Products
Refunds are not available for individual items purchased as part of bundles or discounted offers.
How to Request a Refund
Requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase by emailing heidi@lawbydesign.com.au with proof of purchase and details of the issue.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website
